Atrenne's Microvent Technology Available as a Fan Guard

Atrenne's Microvent Technology Available as a Fan Guard

Atrenne’s fan guards (patent pending) product line are designed with Atrenne’s advanced MicroVent® Technology. This product line addresses the increasing problem in the electronics industry of electronic noise (EMI) escaping from the cooling path of complex mechanical enclosures. Atrenne’s MicroVent technology provides the most open area for air flow providing improved cooling of electronic components while improving the EMI integrity of the system. Each guard is designed around industry standard fan geometry in 2, 3 & 5 mm thickness to support each customers’ specific application. Available in standard 80mm and 120mm sizes, as well as custom sizes, these fan guards easily attach to any embedded computer fan with machine screws for little to no down-time. Application specific EMI testing using MicroVent has been done up to 40 Gig providing excellent results. Along with the positive EMI results we have air flow testing on our MicroVent fan guards versus standard off the shelf industry solutions. Atrenne has also conducted air flow test on MicroVent versus industry standard EMI gasket solutions currently used in the industry.

MEMS Microphone Market Grows; Vesper Too

MEMS Microphone Market Grows; Vesper Too

Vesper’s ZeroPower Listening (ZPL) technology uses the piezoelectric effect, first discovered by French physicists Paul-Jacques and Pierre Curie, to make the acoustic transducer operate as an acoustic switch. When a soundwave hits a piezoelectric cantilever, it moves the cantilever. This motion creates a voltage via the piezoelectric effect. This voltage is sensed by a very low-power comparator circuit, which sends a wake signal to the rest of the system.

Copy of HiSAT-COT®Control Extremely Small 600mA Step-Down DC/DC Converters, Developed 4MHz Product of XC9281/XC9282 Series

The XC9281 / XC9282 series are 600 mA synchronous rectification DC/DC converters adopting HiSAT-COT (*) control. By adding an oscillation frequency of 4 MHz, high efficiency can be realized while maintaining the mounting area as compared with the oscillation frequency of 6 MHz of the conventional XC9281 / XC9282 series.

With an oscillation frequency of 4 MHz, 1uH coil with a size of 1.0 x 0.5mm can be used. A 0.6 x 0.3mm ceramic capacitor can be used for the input capacitance (CIN) and the output capacitance (CL), realizing that the mounting area including peripheral components can be reduced to 3.52 mm2.
